About Katie

I received my undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree from Loyola University in Baltimore, MD and my Masters of Science degree from University of  the District of Columbia  in Speech and Language Pathology.  I have practiced speech and language pathology in a variety of settings in New York, North Carolina and finally landing in Annapolis MD.

I started my career in New York City working at a private preschool for children with special needs where I worked alongside multiple speech and language pathologists as well as occupational, and physical therapists with joint collaboration for each student.   I then moved to North Carolina where I worked in a private practice traveling to homes and schools to provide services for children with a variety of speech and language delays and disorders in individual and group settings.

I came back home to Annapolis where I worked for the public school system in a special needs school collaborating with teachers, other SLP’s, occupational therapists and physical therapists. I started my own private practice and referral client base by providing a home based learning and developmental environment.  I have been practicing for over 15 years as the sole therapist and owner of my practice working with children on the autism spectrum, children with Down syndrome, language delays, speech sound delays, development delays and other rare genetic disorders in multiple schools and homes across the Annapolis area.

A child brings with them unique speech development needs and challenges. My goal is to assess these needs, develop a fun and engaging therapeutic process and then work with the parents and families to provide them with the tools to help them carryover the progress made in therapy and provide the confidence and success for each child and their family.

I currently live and work in Annapolis, MD. with my husband and three children, two dogs and and two cats.
